We handcraft these mittens in our studio using 100% wool felt and 100% Blue Faced Laicester british wool, making them fully compostable.
The hand-stitched process is done with wool yarn naturally dyed using usnea lichen, and we make the ribbed cuffs on our antique manual knitting machine.
The wool felt is handmade by an artisan couple in the Spanish region of Navarra, following traditional methods that use only wool, water and natural soap.
Its natural grey/brown colour comes from a blend of two native sheep breeds, "Navarra" and "Latxa", selected from local shepherds.
This breathable wool felt is a perfect thermo-regulator, keeping you warm on colder days.
