We knit our hats using a certified organic cotton yarn, wooden needles and our hands. This cotton is spun in a small mill in south of France. It comes undyed, untreated and unbleached, and it feels extremely soft on the skin.
To build up the right tone of blue we dye the yarn several times in our homegrown organic indigo vat. Natural indigo has antibacterial properties and is gentle when worn against the skin.
The knitted rib construction gives it a pleasant natural stretch, so it doesn't need any synthetic fibers to fit. You can wear it the whole year round one turn up or shorter with two folds.
This piece comes in a handmade organic cotton bag for easy storage and it is completely compostable and chemical free.
